Horse-riding at FMV-UL

Veterinary Faculty at Universidade de Lisboa has recently made a great effort to
renovate and modernise its facilities at the Equine Unit.

It now has a covered riding pavilion (30m x 18m – with artificial flooring), 20 stables with individual paddocks, an outside lunge ring, a saddle room and a covered grooming area.

Apart from providing its students with all the facilities for equine studies, the EU wants all the population of Universidade de Lisboa to benefit from this investment and to have the opportunity to ride horses. Not only will the Unit offer riding lessons, but it will also function as a livery stables (rented stabling).

The riding centre is a Member of the Portuguese Equestrian Federation (FEP), and the riding instructors are all accredited by the Federation.
