Approximately 2,000 new students joined ISEG in September, including Undergraduates, Masters and Doctoral students, and also International Exchange students.
For the Undergraduate students, we prepared a three day programme full of activities, which included talks with the participation of several members of the University’s Governing Body, Lecturers and representatives of both Student Services and the Student Associations (AEISEG, AIESEC, Junior Business Consulting and the Tuna Económicas musical group). We also organised a ‘ peddy paper’ to enable the new students to get to know the ISEG campus and its surrounding areas better, as well as the University’s history.
As for the Postgraduate, Masters and Doctoral students, we organised individual welcome sessions, in the presence of the Programme Coordinators and representatives of both Student Services and AEISEG.
The International Exchange students also had a special reception, in the form of a dynamic welcome programme, which included a guided tour of the campus and a bus and boat trip to get to know the city of Lisbon. The programme ended in a gala dinner in the Salão Nobre of ISEG, with live music and typical Portuguese food which introduced the students to the gastronomy and culture of Portugal.
