A conference took place at ISEG on the 18t of February, entitled "China as a Strategic Partner of Portugal", organised by the ISEG Centre for Management Studies (CEGE/ISEG).
The keynote speakers were Professor Rosa Borges (Vice-Dean of ISEG), Xu Weili (Economic and Commercial Attaché of the Chinese Embassy), Professor Eduardo Catroga (ISEG professor and Chairman of the Supervisory and General Board of EDP), Henrique Ribeiro (Under-Secretary of State for Internationalisation), Hélder Luz (Chairman of Quiznumérico), Isabel Amaral (Specialist and Consultant in Protocol, Corporative Image and Intercultural Communication), Fernando Costa Freire (Chairman of EDELUC and Vice-Chairman of CCILC), Professor Fernanda Ilhéu (ISEG professor and Coordinator of ChinaLogus), Luís Albergaria (Alumni of the ISEG course in The Chinese Language and Culture for Business), and Alberto Neto (Chairman of AJEPC).
An agreement was signed between ISEG and the Association of Young Businessmen of Portugal (AJEPC) for the award of a prize forthe best student of the ISEG course on The Chinese Language and Culture for Business, which is organised by CEGE, in partnership with the Luso-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCIL-C). This prize consists of a trip to China, including accompanying AJEPC to a trade fair or a mission organised by CCIL-C.
