Once again, Portugal was represented at NAFSA in Philadelphia, USA, from the 28 th of May, to the 1 st of June, 2018, Portugal. ISEG participated in this Fair/Conference for the first time.
The NAFSA Fair/Conference is the largest international gathering of those responsible for the internationalisation of higher education and research institutions, which attracts more than 10,000 visitors from around the world each year.
At the Study & Research in Portugal pavilion there were 10 higher education institutions – Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, Universidade do Porto, Universidade de Coimbra, ISCTE-IUL – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Instituto Politécnico de Leiria, ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade Lusíada, ISG – Business and Economics School, NOVA School of Business and Economics, and the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa – Study in Lisbon, accompanied by the Directorate-General of Higher Education and the Fulbright Commission.
The Study & Research in Portugal pavilion at NAFSA received a visit from the Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Professor Maria Fernanda Rollo, PhD. The Secretary of State was also the keynote speaker at the Portugal/EUA Science and Higher Education Forum, which the Fulbright Commission and the Portuguese Embassy to the USA organised in Washington DC on the 1 st of June, the first day of the "Portugal in the USA month", an initiative of the Portuguese Embassy in Washington.
ISEG was represented by its Vice-Dean, Professor Maria Rosa Borges, PhD and the Head of the International Mobility Office, Rita Jordão.
