The President of the European Parliament, António Tajani, was at ISEG, on the 28 th of September, to talk to us about "The Future of Europe".
This debate, in which the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Ana Paula Zacarias participated, was held within the context of the " Encounters with Citizens " initiative of the Secretary of State for European Affairs, which aims to give citizens the opportunity to express their views about the future of the European Union.
The session was also attended by the Dean of ISEG, Professor Clara Raposo, who opened the debate.

The "Encounters with Citizens" initiative of the Secretary of State for European Affairs, in collaboration with the Jacques Delors European Information Centre, the Diplomatic Institute, and in partnership with the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal and other entities whose objective is to give citizens the opportunity to express their views on the future of the European Union.
In this context, a digital portal has been developed to disseminate information on events that have been held, to clarify citizens' doubts about the initiative, and to promote open, public, and transparent debate, inviting citizens to participate in one of the upcoming events or via the online public consultation.
You can contribute to the Online Public Consultation which is written by citizens themselves, or you can read and react to the White Paper on the future of Europe and participate in Encounters with Citizens organized by the European Commission, or you can participate in debates organised in your country.
