The Fundação Vasco Vieira de Almeida and Startup Lisboa, with the support of Microsoft and OutSystems, as well as Life Long Learning of UNESCO are organising the 1 st Legal Hackathon in Portugal, which will take place on the 16 th and 17 th of March, at the office of Vieira de Almeida, in Lisboa.
This initiative aims to promote the development of innovative technological solutions which bring citizens into contact with the law and, in this way, promote legal literacy, legal empowerment, and the full exercise of citizenship.
Over the two days of the Hackathon, the teams will be coached by mentors who are specialists in Technology, Law, and Management and they will have to develop innovative ideas to solve the problems presented following the strong international tendency to adopt and integrate new technologies in their solutions. A jury will decide on the winning teams and will award prizes which amount to a total of €10,000.
Applications naming the members of the team should be submitted here by the 28 th February.
Who can participate?
University students, young professionals and entrepreneurs can participate, either individually or as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
