Luso-Brazilian dialogue: Talks on Contemporary Economic Policy Cycle

The National Library of Portugal (Biblioteca Nacional) will host a "Luso-Brazilian dialogue", conference cycle from the 2 nd to 16 th of December,which places 'side-by-side' both a Portuguese and Brazilian renowned researcher, who will discuss the central, theoretical and empirical problems of Contemporary Economic Policy.

This initiative is organised by the Centre for African and Development Studies (CEsA) of ISEG-Lisbon School of Economics and Management, Universidade de Lisboa, the Centre for Socioeconomic and Territorial Change (DINÂMIA'CET) of Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE), The Institute for Contemporary History (IHC) of the Social and Human Sciences Faculty (FCSH) of Universidade Nova de Lisboa; supported by the Inter-university PhD in Economic Policy (ULisboa, ISCTE, and ISEG) and also by the Masters in  
Human Resource Development Policies(ISCTE/IUL), the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), The Portuguese Economic Policy Association, the Centre for social Studies (CES) of Universidade de Coimbra and ISCTE; in partnership with BNP and Casa da América Latina.

ISEG will be represented at the event on the 16 th of September by Professor António Mendonça, who will talk on "Developmentalism and Neo-Developmentalism "; and on the 4 th of December by Professor Manuel Mira-Godinho, who will speak on the subject of "
Science, Technology, and Society".
