Information about ISEG Library services, databases and software

1) Loans for books and bibliographic searches

In the sequence of the declaration of the State of Emergency, ISEG Library made changes to the loan service.

For that purpose we set a specific e-mail account: biblioteca@iseg.ulisboa.pt

The purpose of this service is as follows:

a) support users in searches of ISEG’s library catalogue and answer quick questions regarding bibliographic matters;

b) allow for home loan requests – in this case, you mist provide the following information:

– Name
– Address (in Portugal)
– Student number
– VAT
– Institutional email
. Telephone number /mobile number
– Book tittle, author and edition date or call number.

The books will be sent by post.

Please note that all library book loans will be automatically renewed until the library is reopened, when this loan policy will be re-evaluated according to the government rules regarding the quarentine.

In case the current measures of quarantine are extended, this policy will naturally be kept for the near future.

From May 4, users will also be able to go personally to the ISEG library, to order the books they need or to return those they have requested. This access will be made in compliance with the security rules in force, to maintain the safety of users and employees.
