For the third year running, the ISEG team reaches the European Final of the CFA Challenge
ISEG has just achieved being in the TOP 4 of the European regional final of the CFA Challenge, which is the largest global competition for students of Finance, which this year was held by videoconference, due to Covid-19.
The students from the Master in Finance of ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management were classified amongst the best 4 in the EMEA region, and consequently in the Global Top 20 of the CFA Challenge.
The ISEG team represented Portugal in the European final, after having won the national competition for the last 4 years. ISEG is the only Portuguese School to have achieved top place in the regional finals, which it also achieved in 2018 and 2019. For this year’s edition, only 20 business schools worldwide will reach the centre stage of the regional finals, in a competition which involves approximately 1,200 universities and more than 5,000 students of Finance from all around the world.
“Once again, ISEG was the School that won the competition from among the Masters in Finance in Portugal, thus qualifying to represent the country in the regional final of this important global competition. Supervised by Prof. Victor Barros, our students have made us proud by demonstrating the quality of our very comprehensive education, both in technical terms and also in the ability to forecast, where they worked as a team and exceeded their expectations” confesses Clara Raposo, Dean of ISEG. “It is these impartial and independent initiatives that prove how ISEG students stand out and differentiate themselves by their excellence in terms of practical knowledge and soft skills”, added Clara Raposo.
This year, the ISEG team was comprised of the students Arthur Pinheiro, Margarida Alpalhão, Patrícia Ferreira, César Teixeira and Jorge Faria, with the supervision being assured by Professor Vitor Barros.
