Professor Sara Falcão Casaca has been nominated the Vice-President of the Economic and Social Council (CES).
The ISEG researcher in the field of gender studies is the first woman to be a Vice-President of CES.
CES is a constitutional body for consultation and social concertation. Its main goals are to promote the participation of economic and social agents in decision-making procedures of the organs of sovereignty, within the scope of socioeconomic issues. It is the space for dialogue between the Government, Social Partners, and the remaining representatives of a par excellence organised civil society.
