The application period is now open for the 5th Edition of the António Dornelas Prize. The main objective is to recognise and reward scientific or technical work which has been developed by students, researchers, or university professors, which cover the areas of labour, employment, professional training, and employee relations, as well as the areas of social security and inclusion of the disabled.
Deadline for the submission of applications – 31st of January, 2021.
The following can apply for this prize:
– Students, researchers, and university professors from any Higher Education Institution.
– The application can be an individual or a collective one.
This prize was created in 2017, as part of the centenary celebrations of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity, and Social Security (MTSSS).
The prize is also a tribute to the university professor, António Dornelas – sociologist and specialist in labour affairs, Coordinator of the 2006 Green Paper on Labour Relations, researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology, advisor to the President of the Republic for Labour and Social Affairs, and Secretary of State for Labour and Training.
