We are very sorry to announce the death of Professor Giovani Ehrhardt, a student of the PhD in Economic and Organisational Sociology of ISEG and a researcher of SOCIUS – Centre for Research in Economic and Organisational Sociology (CSG-ISEG).
Born in Chapecó (Santa Catarina, Brazil), Giovani Ehrhardt was a professor of the Faculty of Administration, Accounting, and Economic Sciences (FACE) of Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), in Brazil, and also a researcher of INPEAU – Institute for Research and Studies in University Administration (UFSC).
His research was centred on the area of project management, entrepreneurship, knowledge management, public policies, and the evaluation of higher education. He is the author and co-author of several books on university management, digital technologies, and economic development.
In addition to his academic career in Brazilian and international universities, he also worked as a consultant for important European organisations, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Portugal. Of particular relevance is his important contribution to the “Sustainable Development, Third Sector and Social Networks” research line, where his most recent participation was the organisation of the International Seminar on “The Pandemic Contingencies caused by Covid-19 in Contemporary Societies”. His enormous dedication and enthusiasm was noteworthy.
