In February 2023, ISEG reached 2nd place in the RePEc/IDEAS ranking of the Portuguese institutions with the best researchers.
Several ISEG faculty members contributed to this position in the ranking, especially Professor Antonio Afonsowho leads the RePEc/IDEAS ranking of accumulated research by author, and Professor João Jalleswhich leads the RePEc/IDEAS ranking of research produced in the last 10 years.
Also in the TOP 111 of the ranking of researchers with the most publications during their lifetime or in the ranking of researchers with the most publications over the last 10 years are the professors Luís Catão, Fernando Martins, Nikolay Iskrev, Miguel StAubyn, Mario Centeno, Sandra Gomes, Paulo Parente, Patricia Melo, Joana Pais, Emerald Ramalho, Paulo Brito, Nuno Crato, Paula Fontoura, Manuel Mira Godinho, Francisco Louçã, Sandra Maximiano, José Alves, Candida Ferreira, Mariya Gubareva, Carlos Daniel Santos, Adriana Cornea-Madeira, Joao Perreira dos Santos, Jorge Miguel Bravo, Ana Venancio.
"Year after year and as a result of an orientation that, in the main, the School has been devoting to research, ISEG has been rising in the RePEc/IDEAS ranking of Portuguese institutions, having reached 2nd place in that ranking for the first time," says the President of ISEG, Professor João Duque.
This is a "particularly happy moment" for the president of ISEG, adding that "mobility in this ranking is not easy because it results from the historical accumulation of publications. Therefore, the rise of one more place is the result of a very significant effort of the teachers of our School, in the last years".
