Grades disclosure - appeal season

Hello,

These are your final grades for the appeal season. Please check here.

You have any doubts or wish to consult the exam, please contact me through the email ritafuentes@iseg.ulisboa.pt

Furthermore, I inform you that after the reviewing process, I have made two adjustments in the final exam grades (Ramilya and Vanessa) and also increased half point in the company's Portfolio bonus of Ramilya, since I haven't seen some of the files she has uploaded in our Team (my fault). I uploaded the new version of the file "Detailed grades - Regular season - Version 2".

Wish you all the best for your master degree!

Kind regards,

Rita Fuentes Henriques

Good morning,

These are your final grades for the regular period. You can check your grades here. I have uploaded a file named "Detailed grades" with all the grades regarding this season.

For the students enrolled in the repeat period, your grades will be available together with the final grade obtained in the appeal period. I have created a new team "SAE - Appeal Exam" and added you as members. Please, check if you can see the new team in your MS Teams. Next Friday you must join this team to perform the exam. Soon, I will leave in the team some extra information about the exam.

For the approved students, it was nice to meet you and I wish you the best for the next semester!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well.

Regarding the final exam scheduled for next Friday at 9am, I would like to share the following information with you:

  • the exam will take place in room 006-F1, the same we have used for regular classes;
  • the layout will include 9 multiple choice questions (9 points) + 9 open questions (11 points);
  • open questions might include the analysis of a specific scenario, comment on given sentences, explanation of concepts, relationship between different topics and the analysis of financial and non-financial data from reports;
  • the content of your exam will embrace all handouts available in Aquila, including the discussed papers from Part 3 folder (see resume of these papers in Jamboard) and the Part 1 ("Complying with the code, fundamental principles and conceptual framework") of Professional Code of Ethics for Accountants;
  • you don't have to worry about the coca-cola sustainability report or any content from the folder "Class 19th November";
  • you should bring a calculator, pen/pencil and ID card. Any formulas that might be necessary would be presented along with the question;
  • no need to bring any blank sheets as I am going to deliver one for each student;
  • you will have enough space to write down your answers directly on the exam;
  • you will have 1h15m to complete your exam;
  • consultation of any course materials will not be allowed.

See you all on Friday!

Quiz 4 and ethical cases

Dear Students,

Next class, we will perform Quiz 4 (our last one). The rules and structure will be exactly the same - 20 minutes to submit 3 multiple-choice questions plus 3 open questions. All questions will focus on Part 4 - Sustainability Metrics and also on the Financial Metrics we have discussed during our classes (please, see all files in Part 4 folder).

After the quiz, we will finish the slides about Part 5 - Ethics and discuss the ethical dilemma available in Part 5 folder.

Thus, before the next class, you shoud read:

  • Slide 3 (Offering and accepting inducements) and think about the questions presented;
  • Ethical dilemma for class discussion.

It is also available, in Part 5 folder, the Ethical Scenario Sky Corporation, set for evaluation purposes. You should deliver your solution by mail until 31st December.

See you all on Thursday,

Rita Fuentes Henriques

Quiz 3, class materials and next class

Dear Students,

Next class we will perform Quiz 3 regarding Part 2 of our Sillabus - Sustainability Metrics. The rules and structure will be exactly the same - 20 minutes to submit a 3 multiple-choice questions plus 3 open questions.

Also, I would like to inform that regarding the papers presented and discussed in last 2 classes I have uploaded all papers in Aquila (folder "Class 19th November") and all presentations & discussion slides in the menu "Files" of our Team SAE.

Besides, I have created a new folder in our Team - COMPANY PORTFOLIOS - where each of you have an individual folder. So, you can start uploading the files and materials you have been gathering about your chosen companies in our work in progress. In the end of the semester I will collect them and evaluate them - it's an extra change for some extra points in the final grade if you engage in this task.

In the next class our plan will be to:

  • Perform the quiz;
  • Conclude the work in progress;
  • Discuss Part 4 Slides (start).

See you all on Thursday!
