Ethics and Research Methods in Finance (1 º Sem 2020/2021)

Dear Students,

Please mind the following important notes regarding our CU ERMF:

1 - In order to validate ERMF (Pass this course) you have to schedulle a meeting (online) with me to discuss your MFW and supervisor. Several students missed that so far. Make sure you send me an email (tiago@iseg.ulisboa.pt) if you have not done so, so far. Only spots available are this friday (4th December) and next friday (11th December)!

2- Additional requirement to validate this course is that you upload (via aquila, in our courses's page), your MFW proposal, including the supervisor. The deadline to upload your proposal is 17th December (23h59m)! THIS IS MANDATORY TO VALIDATE ERMF!

3 - Final requirement is that you attend at least one session of the MFW Workshop. This will take place on the 16th, 17th and 18th December. Program will be available soon. (Make sure you get signed on the chosen session to validate this requirement).

4- Regarding the last 2 sessions of ERMF (which are mandatory), please note the following:

• - Session on the 10th December - Fully online and it will feature the Banco de Portugal, presenting their Databases, especially relating to impact of COVID. Session will take place on ZOOM. Link to ZOOM's seminar:   https://videoconf-colibri.zoom.us/j/88181726898
• - Session on the 17th December - It will feature 2 viva voce examinations relating to Sustainability Finance. If you are to attend in the room, be early to avoid any disrupt. Those attending online will be provided a ZOOM link soon.

Dear 2nd year students

Today, thursday, 29th October, we resume our specific sessions for ERMF for the Master in Finance. This means our team is back the specific team of ERMF in Microsoft teams.

In Today's session, we will have the special participation of Dr Miguel Maia from CFA society Portugal to talk about CFA ethics. This session is fully digital for all the students! All the students should log in to our microsoft team at 18h00 sharp (or before). 

From next week's on classes are back into classroom and online mixed method. It will cover topics on Ethics with Professor Rafael Marques.

At 10th December we will have a session with Banco de Portugal. Further news about this session will follow briefly.

Last note: Remember to schedulle a meeting (tutoring) session with me to discuss MFW and supervisor. At least one session per student is mandatory.
