Rules of the resit exam

Rules of the resit exam:

1-      The duration of the exam is 2 HOURS+10 MINUTES READING TIME.

2-      Answer all the exam questions in the answer booklets of ISEG (folhas de teste do ISEG).

3-      All the answers should be written in English.

4-      Make sure your mobile phone is switched off.

5-      Write in a clear legible manner in ink/ballpoint. Do not use pencils or erasable pens.

6-      Rules on the calculators:

a)      The calculator must be silent, with a visual display only.

b)      No calculators with wireless communication capability with other machines are allowed.

c)       Students are not allowed to share calculators during the examination.

d)      No calculators with capabilities for storing and displaying verbal information are allowed.

7-      Apart from the case of the multiple choice questions, if you are asked to derive/calculate something, give all the intermediate steps also.

8-      Only two sheets ( 4 sides A4) of notes made exclusively by the student may be consulted. No formula sheet is provided.

9-      You are not allowed to leave the exam rooms in the first 30 minutes. After this, if you leave the room, you are not allowed to return.

10-   You are not permitted to share any materials during the examination.

11-   You are not permitted to ask any questions to your colleagues during the examination.

12-   The only materials allowed in exams are the Identification Document, a pen, the sheet of notes mentioned above and scrap paper.

13-   You have 10 minutes reading time during which you may make notes on the scrap paper, but may not start to write your answers in the answers booklet until ALL students are told to begin.

14-   Stop writing immediately when the invigilator says it, at the end of the exam. Students must remain seated at their desks in silence until all examination scripts have been collected by an invigilator and they are instructed that they may leave.

15-   You are responsible to ensure that your answer scripts are submitted at the end of the examination to the invigilator. If you are present for the examination and do not want to submit an answer script, you have to write a signed statement in which you declare that do not want to submit an answer script.  Note that in this case your mark in the exam is zero.

16- Students are responsible for printing the statistical tables available in Aquila and for taking them to the examination. It is not permitted to write any notes in the statistical tables.
