Project Evaluation - 2nd semester 2019-20 Examination of the (Época Normal) Normal Season

Instructions for Students

About the Exam; Before the Exam; During the Exam; and Oral Exams Available on UC Page (AQUILA)

About the Exam:

• The Exam will be held on the MS Forms platform on June 12 at 15:00. You must login at Teams with your own credentials at 14:50.

• The exam has a total effective duration of 120 minutes divided by the different independent parts, that is, Groups of questions, independent and answered in a given sequence. The 120 minutes correspond to the maximum total time available to answer the different group of questions. Because there are pauses between each part (Groups), the start of the exam will be at 15:00 and the end at 17:15.

• The Exam consists of four autonomous parts (Groups I, II, III and IV) each corresponding to a group of questions. Group I is composed of multiple choice questions (the wrong answers are deducted from the score). Groups II, III and IV include open-ended questions. The answers to these questions involve text, calculations, or both. There may be a need to download files associated with the questions and after answer, to upload files with responses (for example excel files or images).

• There may be informative (non-evaluation) questions whose answer is mandatory before submitting each Group. Example of an informational question: "Do you confirm that you attached the file with your answer?" (Alternatives: Yes; No; the answer is mandatory).

• The entire Program taught is covered in the exame (Chapters 1 to Chapter 7).

• Students enrolled for the exam will receive at MS Teams, in a timely manner, in a phased and sequential manner, the links to each of the parts (Groups) of the Exam. The links are active only for a given period of time that is indicated at the beginning of each Group of questions. That is, at the beginning of the response for each of the 4 Groups, the maximum time for response is indicated.

• Each student can only make one submission per Group. In other words, once a Group has been submitted, there is no possibility of 'going back' on the submission.

• Each link is activated and deactivated at the same time for all students, regardless of the time used individually in the answer / submission.

• After the time for submission of the Group I response has expired, the respective link is inactive and only the link for Group II is available. After the time for submission of the Group II response has expired, the respective link is inactive and only the link to Group III is available. Once the time for submitting the Group III response has expired, the respective link is inactive and only the link for Group IV is available. After the submission of Group IV your Exam finished!

Before the Exam:

• Confirm that you are able to login to Office 365 with your ISEG credentials (contact with the ISEG IT team if you have problems or difficulties). The Exam will be implemented through MS Forms, so you need to have Office 365 working properly. Your credentials are the only ones valid for solving the test. All responses / submissions are automatically and exclusively associated with an account, your ISEG account (@ aln.iseg.ulisboa.pt)

• On June 12 at 2:50 pm, 10 minutes from the start of the exam, you must enter your credentials in the MS Teams session associated with Project Assessment to allow the Teaching Team to view the number of attendance at the exam. In addition, this will also be a means (using chat) to ask for and receive support or clarification during the test time by the Teaching Team. There is also a dedicated phone number of the IT Team you received from the Presidency of in a recent communication).

• Check that you have the necessary material to answer the exam: computer (also the respective charger if it is portable), paper, pens, pencils, ruler. You still need equipment to capture an image (for example a tm). This image, for example a handwritten text, will be uploaded (in MS Forms) in response to Group IV.

• Make sure that the physical space you choose to solve the online exam reproduces, with the necessary adaptations, the in-person situation. Check that it optimizes, within alternative locations, the best Internet connection.

During the Exam:

• Have complete respect for the rules, namely, respect the requirement that the exam is individual and personal, without consulting third parties.

• Pay special attention to the exact delivery time (online submission via MS Forms) of each of the four parts (Group I, II, III and IV) of the Exam. For example, set an alarm 5 minutes before the submission deadline.

• You can only submit once per link. You receive 4 links, one per group, and you make 4 submissions, one per group.

• If you do not see tables or graphs correctly on a given question, it is advisable to: i) refresh; ii) use an alternative browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer).

• For questions that require file uploads, if there is an abnormal delay in the upload process, report the situation as a post on MS Team.

Oral Exams

• The ISEG general evaluation regulation (RGAC) establishes that students with a grade higher than 17 in the final exam can be asked to take an oral exam to defend their grade, and the classification cannot fall below 17. This possibility of calling for exam oral defense of note a student with a score higher than 17 values remains in the case of online exam.

• Regardless of the level of the grade, the Project Appraisal teacher, in case of doubt or other irregularity, may decide to carry out an oral exam, after hearing the opinion of a committee established for the purpose.
