Economics II (2 º Sem 2018/2019)

Dear Students,

Instead of this Thursday and Friday, this week's exercise classes will be held next Wednesday, May 8th, from 12:30 to 13:30 in a classroom yet to be announced. This will give me the opportunity to review last class' theoretical material (I am told only about 20 students attended the class) and add material for the exercises.

All the material will be put in the Aquila. So, for those many students that did not attend Prof. Luis Costa lecture, please take the opportunity of the free time in the exercise slots this Thursday and Friday to review the material in coming days to be prepared for the double-section exercise classes next week.

Dear Students,

Professor Luis Costa kindly agreed to substitute me in the class of next Monday, April 29th from 8:00 to 10:00 in the anfiteatro, Francesinhas I (the same place as always for Monday classes). The slide material for that class will be posted in the Aquila, as usual

This Friday, April 26th, as agreed before, there will NOT be exercise classes for those that attend the Friday exercise classes.

For those who want to see exam or discuss something related to it, I will be available at 17:00 tomorrow, Wed, April 9th, at a place to be defined depending on the number of students. Good afternoon to all.

I write to confirm that the mid-term exam next week will consist entirely of multiple choice questions. There will 20 questions, with a penalization of 0.25 for the wrong answer. The material to be covered is from Lecture 1 to Lecture 12, all placed in the aquila.

Some students correctly pointed out to me today that question 3 is asking for the INcorrect alternative and that's clearly B not A as in the solution set posted in the aquila since C should include total consumption (domestic+imports) as explained in class. I will fix that today and adjust the grades as necessary.
