Investments and Portfolio Management (1 º Sem 2018/2019)

Since Professor Teresa Garcia is not able to teach Fundamental of Financial Economics on TUESDAY October 30, I will take the opportunity and given a joint 3h lecture to both groups -- S12 and S42 -- instead of two separate 1.5h classes.

So ALL IPM STUDENTS have a lecture from 10-13h TOMORROW, OCTOBER 30 at Anf 21.

On TUESDAY, October 30 IPM classes will be as follows:

• S42, 10-11.30h, room Anf.22, F1
• S12, 11.30-13h, room Anf.21, F1

Thursday, November 1, there are no classes as it is a national holiday.

On TUESDAY and THURSDAY, 16 and 18 of October, IPM classes will take place in the afternoon.

During the mornings the Lecturer will be at AACSB accrediattion meetings and cannot teach. For the same reason there will be no office hours at 8.30am this week

The IPM classes taking place next week are:

• S42, Tuesday (Oct 16), from 14-17h, at room F1: Anf.23 (notice room change)
• S12, Thursday (Oct 18), from 14-17h, at room F1: Anf.21

The change is only for this week! From next week all will run as usual (classes and office hours)

Quiz 1 takes place today and covers PART I of the course.

It has 30 questions and a duration of 45 minutes: from 21.30h to 22:15h

Dear Students,

Due to various doubts concerning the end of the investment period in the passive (buy-and-hold) portfolios I have decided to:

• extend trading until October 8th, i.e. you can still trade or execute peding orders on MONDAY. After the end of exchange sessions on Monday no more trading is allowed.
• extend the maximum amount of trades from 20 to 30 (some groups did not notice the maximum was 20 and stocktrak accepted to extend it from 20 to 30)

If your GROUP has completed the passive portfolio's task (as expected) by last friday do not worry. You do not need to do anything else unless you want to do some changes in your portfolio.

Passive protfolios that do not obey the established rules by the end of Monday will be excluded from the simulation game. ALL active portfolios will of course remain in the game.
