Investments and Portfolio Management (1 º Sem 2018/2019)

IPM first season Final Grades are now available online.

These are the FINAL OFFICIAL RADES and possibly include a rounding bonus (of at most 0.5 points) for students that attended most classes.

On Thursday, 24 January, 8.30h , at Rua Miguel Lupi building your can personally check your exam grading or the grading of any other elements of CE, if you find them unfair or wish to raise any other questions. After that grades will be officially submitted and can no longer be changed.

If you decide to come I recommend you:

The weighted average grades of Continuous Evaluation (CE) are now available online.

I remind all students that a minimum of 8 was required at the exam so that other elements of CE would count.

For exam grades lower than 8, the exam grade show up and other elements of CE will count for the second seating.

Any question concerning CE grades MUST be place in person at the official grades analysis section on Thursday, 24 January at 8.30am.

Students who wish to see their exam grading should attend the official "exam checking" section on Thursday, 24 January at 8.30am. Before that they should check the detailed grading and exam solution.

After that date it is no longer possible to check exames grading.

StockTrak portfolio simulation game grades are now available online.

My congratulations to the (extended) podium groups:

Due to the overall bad market performance during the last quarter of 2018 the average passive portfolio had a Sharpe Ratio of -3.99!

Recall that apart from the podium groupd all other groups with a SR higher than -3.99 got 12 points and the ones with SR less than that  8 points.

The Empirical Assignment Grades are now available online.

Ms Alvarez and her family chose the report of "Group 1 - Global Consulting" as the best.So the final grade of this group is actually a sum of 16 (technical grade) + 2 (client choice bonus).

For all the other groups only the technical grade counts.

The IPM first seating Exam takes place tomorrow, 11 January 2019, at 9h at Salão Nobre (QUELHAS 6).

Be there at least 15 minutes before the exam starts.

You MUST bring:

• Your ID with photo
• At least TWO exam answering sheets
• Pens (no pencils allowed)
• A calculator with memory reset (and possible extra bateries just in case)
• A watch to control time (mobiles not allowed)

You CANNOT have with you (nor anywhere near you):

• Any notes or class materials
• your mobile

I will provide:

• The exam itself
• The formulas sheet
• Scrap paper

Please remmember to rest before the exam.
