Public Economics and Finance (2 º Sem 2019/2020)

About the Exam:

• The Exam will be in MS Forms.
• The Exam has a duration of 90 minutes.
• The Exam has two parts: the first includes 20 multiple-choice questions (the wrong answers do not penalize the overall grade), with 8/20 points (30 mns); the second part includes open answer questions, with 12/20 points (60 mns).
• The entire syllabus is covered in both parts.
• All enrolled students will receive in a timely fashion in their ISEG email the links for the Exam, which will be active on the day and hour defined for the Exam.
• If you do not receive the link in your email until 23 Jun (for the 24 Jun Exam) and until 5 Jul (for the 6 Jul Exam), please contact the teaching staff.

Before the Exam:

Confirm that you can do the login in Office 365 (see with the ISEG IT team if you have problems). The Exam will take place in MS Forms. Therefore, you need to be able to function correctly with Office 365.

Each student, 10 minutes before the hour of the Exam, should start the MS Teams session linked to PFE-Exam to allow the teaching staff to visualise the number of presences. In addition, this will be an available channel to receive clarifications, from the teaching staff, during the Exam.

During the Exam:

• Pay special attention to the ending hour to submit the Exam (online submission) of each of the two parts of the Exam (for instance, setting up an alarm 5 minutes before the delivery time, might help).
• If you do not visualize correctly in the screen tables or charts, it is advisable:
  • i) to refresh the screen;
  • ii) to use another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer).
• If needed you can take a photo of your written answer and email it to the email of the course (efp@iseg.ulisboa.pt) using your ISEG student email (and only this one).

The mock test topics of resolution from 12-05-2020 are available in Aquila.

We will have a mock test to assess the technical functionalities of the platform on 12 May, Tuesday, in MS Forms, in the slot 16:00-17:00.

Students will receive an email with 2 links, in sequence: one for Part A, with multiple-choice questions, and one for Part B, with open questions to answer in the computer.

Important notes:

·         material covered: Lecture 1-14; Tutorial 1- 8.

·         the links will only be active at the date/time of the test;

·         each student will only be able to answer one time per link;

·         if you do not send the answers within the allocated period, it will be impossible to do it afterwards. Therefore, even if you have not answered all the questions you must send the forms WITHIN the designed time frame according to the instructions that will be in the next email.

·         the test will not be graded;

·         there will be topics of resolution afterwards in Aquila;

·         in the case of the multiple choice questions there will be no penalty for incorrect answers.

I tis important that all students use this opportunity to check the functionalities of the MS Forms platform in this mock test, since this will be the environment for the final exam in this 2^nd semester.
