2015 FCT Investigator Programme

CSG - Research in Social and Management from ISEG/ULisboa accepts applications from PhD researchers wishing to have the CSG as host institution under the program 'FCT Investigator 2015'.
 
CSG is a new research unit at ISEG/ULisboa, recently created by four of its research centres - SOCIUS (Research Centre in Economic and Organisational Sociology), ADVANCE (Advanced Research Centre in Management), CESA (Research Centre on Africa, Asia and Latin America) and GHES (Social and Economic History Research Unit). Ranked as "Excellent" in the last process of R&D Units evaluation promoted by FCT in 2015, CSG has a total of more than 200 researchers, including ISEG faculty, faculty from other schools, independent researchers, postdoctoral fellows and PhD students. CSG activities provide a unique framework for research and training at the national and international level.
 
CSG is composed of five Research Groups: Work and Employment; Knowledge, Technology and Strategy; Value and Finance; Globalization and Development, and Sustainability and Policy. Besides, CSG includes four Thematic Lines: Laboratory of Experimental Economics and Behavioural Science (LEEBS); Portugal: Socioeconomic Performance and Changes; Lusophone Space: Institutions, Identities and Agency; Managerial Research. FCT Investigator grants is intended to all researchers holding a PhD degree, of any nationality, and in any research or academic field providing a competitive salary, for up to five years, corresponding to research career positions of auxiliary, principal and coordinator. There are three types of FCT investigator grants:
Starting Grant - aimed at researchers with more than three years and less than eight years post-PhD experience at the time of application. Previous experience of scientific independence is not required;
Development Grant - aimed at researchers with a curriculum of exceptional merit and experience as an independent researcher;
Consolidation Grant - aimed at researchers with experience as an independent researcher, with a curriculum of exceptional merit and evidence of scientific leadership in a specific area of knowledge.
 
 
Candidates' CV and the proposal, drafted according to the FCT model, must be submitted by email to the CSG Scientific Coordinator at csg@iseg.ulisboa.pt and to the Coordinator of the Research Group in which they intend to participate (addresses below).

These elements must be sent to CSG at any moment, but no later than August 31st 2015 (5 pm), mentioning the following reference in the subject line "Call FCT Investigator 2015 - [Applicant surname]". The acceptance of the application will be released in the shortest possible term. At FCT, the call is open till 15 September 2015 (5pm, Lisbon time).

IMPORTANT: This application for CSG does not replace the online application through FCT's website at https://if.fct.pt/. All applications are submitted in English. In the form of FCT, due to the nature of CSG - association of four research centers -, candidates may have to apply through one of these centers (SOCIUS, ADVANCE, CESA or GHES).
