Linked employer-employee data (LEED) is now well established as a key source of information for empirical research in all fields of economics. The use of these data has become more widespread with the continuous improvements in computational capacity and the development of new econometric methods that deal with the challenges these data pose.
LEED provide a natural ground for the study of workplace organization, compensation structure, wage and employment mobility, the relationship between firms' outcomes and workers' characteristics, but also international trade, the transmission of monetary policy, the impact of fiscal policy on market outcomes and industrial organization studies of market behavior. However, the information content of LEED can only be fully explored by bringing together the new econometric techniques and the lessons from the economic analysis of markets. To this end, ISEG-UTL is organizing a Workshop on recent research developments based on LEED.
We encourage researchers using LEED, including PhD students, to
submit a paper to this Workshop.
The
deadline for paper submission is March 31, 2013. Applicants will be notified about the status of their submissions by April 22, 2013.
