NATIONAL CONTEST 2022/2023

Applications for degrees are centralised in the form of a National Admission Selection, which is organized by the Department of Higher Education, and is the usual way of entry for the majority of applicants who end up becoming a student at the Lisboa School of Economics and Management (ISEG) at the Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa).

The National Admission Selection is held over two phases at a national level, and sometimes a third phase is included. In the First Phase, places are awarded for a general quota and also for special quotas. The especial quotas are made up of: applicants from the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azoresos, Portuguese emigrants and family members who reside with them, disabled people, both physically and sensorial, permanently employed military personnel and competition-level athletes.

APPLICANTS FOR ISEG IN 2022/2023 MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING PRE-REQUISITES: 

1. Have successfully completed a Secondary School Education, or legal equivalent.  

2. Have sat the obligatory entrance exams for each degree and have passed with at least the minimum grade, which, in the case of ISEG, is 95 on a scale of 0 to 200. The entrance exams are the following:

For degrees in   Economics, Finance, Management and Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management  

Mathematics A [19] OR

Mathematics A [19] + Portuguese [18] OR 

Mathematics A [19] + Economics [04]

The entrance exams are only valid for the academic year when they are taken, and not for subsequent years.

3. Have an entrance grade of no less than 100, on a scale of 0 to 200. The calculation of the entrance grade for degrees at ISEG is based on the following weighting:

• Final grade of Secondary School: with a weighting of 50%; 

• The grade of the entrance exam: with a weighting of 50%; 

NUMBER OF PLACES:

• Economics - 138 places

• Economics (taught in English) - 24 places

• Finance * (taught in English)- 32 places

• Management - 168 places

• Management (taught in English) - 29 places

• Applied Mathematics for Economics and Management (MAEG) - 60 places

* For the 2021/2022 academic year in Finance only the first  and second year will be available.
