Applications 2017-2018 Link
For the academic year 2017/2018 will compete for the ISEG through the special contest admission international students . To submit your application must meet the conditions described below .
1 . General Profile
- Applicants do not have Portuguese nationality;
- Applicants are not a nationals of a Member State of the European Union;
- Applicants not applied to the special access and admission competitions organised nationally by the Portuguese Directorate General for Higher Education (DGES);
- Applicants can't be attending ISEG under international mobility programs.
2 . Diploma of secondary education or equivalent:
- Being able to obtained classification ( secondary school or equivalent ) to apply for and enter higher education in the country of origin
- Having a Portuguese secondary education diploma (obtained abroad ) or equivalent
- Language knowledge (B2 for Portuguese degree courses and B2 for English degree courses or TOEFL - 65 or IELTS - 5.0/5.5 or Cambridge - First Certificate in English - FCE)
3. Applications - Conditions
The application mark has to be equal to or higher than 100 on a scale of 0 to 200. The application note of ISEG courses is based on the following consideration:
- Classification end of secondary education or qualification in the country where it was obtained, check the right application and admission to higher education in this country: with a weight of 50%;
- Classification of entrance exams or final exams of foreign educational conterparts: with a weight of 50%

Brazilian Students: ENEM
- ISEG accepts applications from Brazilian students that have done the ENEM in current year or have done so in the previous 3 years.
Weightings of the ratings of ESMS knowledge areas:
- Mathematics and its technologies - 80%
- Writing: 20%
The minimum score is 100 (Portuguese scale).
Chinese students:
The ISEG accepts applications from Chinese students who have completed secondary education and who made the Gaokao or Liankao in 2016 or have done so in the previous 3 years (2016, 2015 or 2014).
The minimum score should be 50% of the maximum score Gaokao / Liankao each province / region.
The minimum score is 100 (Portuguese scale).
4. Criteria for selection:
The ranking is done in descending order of application mark of ISEG courses based on the following consideration:
• Rating end of secondary education or qualification in the country where it was obtained and admission to higher education in this country: with a weight of 50%;
• Classification of entrance exams or final exams of foreign educational counterparts: with a weight of 50%.
In the case of Brazilian candidates are followed the weights indicated above (ENEM exam).
In the case of Chinese candidates are followed the scores listed above (Gaokao and Liankao exams).
Given the existence of various scales, all classifications shall be expressed in the range of approved 100-200 and converted in proportion to the scale.
The conduct of the tender process of admission and ranking of candidates for each course of study is the responsibility of the Presidency of ISEG, and the final results approved by the President of ISEG.
Whenever two or more candidates tie situation compete the last, additional jobs are created.
After the process of ranking candidates will be informed by email of the final outcome of the application. Confirmation of enrolment will be subject to presentation of Official Certificates and Documentation within the first month of classes.

The application is only available for the undergraduate degrees that still have places available (application must be done until the 20th October 2017 and it will be analysed on a first come first served basis. The enrolment must be concluded until the 31st October 2017).
Courses with places available for the 3rd phase:
- Management - Economics - Finanças (lectured in Portuguese) - MAEG (lectured in Portuguese)
Only complete Applications will be analysed.
7. Documentation required for the online application:
Applications should be made online: see here
- Photo
- Copy of the ID card or Passport;
- Secondary education certificate or academic records;
- Document attesting the classification obtained in the required entrance examinations (example SAT)
- Language knowledge (B2 for Portuguese degree courses and B2 for English degree courses or TOEFL - 65 or IELTS - 5.0/5.5 or Cambridge - First Certificate in English - FCE)
- Letter of Interest - Applicants must write a letter of interest (maximum one page) explaining why they wish to apply to the ISEG- Lisbon School of Economics and Management degree, what their particular interests are in the field, and what their hopes and expectations are regarding their studies. The letter should explain the applicant's personal strengths, areas of interest, and motivation for advanced studies.

The online application becomes valid (for selection purposes) only after payment of the respective application fee, and for this purpose provided a ATM reference or PayPal reference. If not made the payment by the date specified, the application will be canceled.
Notes:
Documents that are not issued in Portuguese should be translated and endorsed by the consular Office and may be in English, Spanish or French.
