ULisboa, Instituto Superior Técnico, Faculdade de Letras and ISEG were represented at the largest international education fair in the United States.
Once again, Portugal was represented at the Pavilion Study & Research in Portugal, at NAFSA 2022 Annual Expo & Exhibition - "Building our Sustainable Futurewhich this year took place in Denver, Colorado.
In the pavilion Study & Research in Portugal More than 50 representatives from 22 Portuguese higher education institutions participated.
Part of the initiative USA-Portugal Campusin a joint organization of Fulbright Commission Portugal, from Erasmus+ National Agency team and Luso-American FoundationIt aimed to support national efforts to internationalize and promote higher education and research in the US, bringing the two countries closer together in terms of academic mobility and giving greater visibility to Portugal as a destination country for US students.
To achieve this goal, a large delegation of Portuguese higher education institutions, headed by the Secretary of State for Internationalization, Dr. Bernardo Ivo Cruz, and in coordination with the Consul General of Portugal in San Francisco, visited San Francisco and the universities of StanfordUC Berkeley, and Santa Clara, in the State of California. The visits aimed to support national efforts to internationalize and promote higher education and research in the US and included meetings of networkingpanel discussions, and guided tours.
ULisboa was represented by the Vice-Rector, Professor Peixoto and the Director of External and International Relations, Dr. Isabel França; the Coordinator of International Affairs of Instituto Superior Técnico, Dr. Denise Matos Moura; the Coordinator of the External and International Relations Division of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Eduarda Camilo and the Head of Division of Academic Services, Dr. Rita Jordão.
