DS Seminars 2025 | Dialogue on Islam and Politics in Mozambique

CESA - Centre for Africa and Development Studies/ISEG Research is organising the 'Dialogue on Islam and Politics in Mozambique' seminar on June 5th, from 18.00 to 20.00, in the ISEG Auditorium 3 (Quelhas, 2nd Floor).

Together with the Inevitable Jihad? Muslims and Politics in Mozambique after Independence book launch and as part of the Development Studies Seminars 2025, the seminar will include the speakers Éric Morier-Genoud, the author of the book, specialist in Lusophone Africa and Professor at Queen's University Belfast (UK), and Sandra Araújo, Anthropologist, Professor and Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of Universidade de Lisboa. The moderators will be the Professors and CEsA Researchers Isabel Castro Henriques and Joana Pereira Leite.

The seminar will be held in Portuguese.
