From 20-26 October, there has been International Open Access Week, a global initiative promoted by SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), whose theme this year is: "Who Owns Our Knowledge?"
Open Access is one of the fundamental pillars of open science, guaranteeing that anyone — student, teacher, researcher or the general public — can access and share scientific knowledge freely, without barriers. For those developing a dissertation or thesis, this means more sources of information, fewer obstacles and greater academic impact.
In this context, and as part of the International Open Access Week 2025, the Francisco Pereira de Moura Library will be organizing a series of training sessions and events focused on the global theme "Who Owns Our Knowledge?".
