{"id":36308,"date":"2023-02-24T15:43:39","date_gmt":"2023-02-24T15:43:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/?post_type=event&#038;p=36308"},"modified":"2023-02-25T06:55:52","modified_gmt":"2023-02-25T06:55:52","slug":"tribute-session-to-francisco-murteira-nabo","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/en\/event\/tribute-session-to-francisco-murteira-nabo\/","title":{"rendered":"Tribute Session to Francisco Murteira Nabo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the 28th of February, between 17:00 and 18:30, the Ordem dos Economistas and ISEG co-organize in the Sal\u00e3o Nobre of ISEG, a <strong>Tribute Session to Francisco Murteira Nabo, <strong> <\/strong><\/strong>where he will be awarded the title of Economist Emeritus, in the presence of the Minister of the Sea and Economy, Ant\u00f3nio Costa Silva. The event also counts on the participation of the Chairman of the Order of Economists and ISEG professor, Ant\u00f3nio Mendon\u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Francisco Murteira Nabo, graduated in Economics from ISCEF (today designated ISEG), was President of the Order of Economists between 2002-2008. Among many other important positions, he was Alderman of the Lisbon City Council, Secretary of State for Transport and Minister for Social Equipment. In the area of business management, among other positions, we highlight those of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Companhia Portuguesa R\u00e1dio Marconi, of Portugal Telecom and of Galp Energia, as well as Vice-Chairman of Sorefame, Nacional and Executive Director of Ambelis and Imoleasing (1997\/2012). He was also President of Alumni Econ\u00f3micas \u2013 Association of Former Students of ISEG.
