{"id":40347,"date":"2023-09-07T09:52:27","date_gmt":"2023-09-07T09:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/?post_type=event&#038;p=40347"},"modified":"2023-09-19T15:39:12","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T15:39:12","slug":"exhibition-photography-the-city-for-whom-usual-cycling-on-the-streets-lisbonettes-of-the-second-xx","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/en\/event\/exhibition-photography-the-city-for-whom-usual-cycling-on-the-streets-lisbonettes-of-the-second-xx\/","title":{"rendered":"Photographic exhibition \"The City for Whom?: Daily life for cyclists on Lisbon's streets in the 20th century\""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/en\/culture-society\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISEG's Cultural Committee<\/a> Is hosting a <a href=\"https:\/\/dcaaraujo.wixsite.com\/hibiclab\/exposi%C3%A7%C3%A3o\">photography exhibition<\/a>as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Hi-BicLab.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hi-BicLab<\/a> - Laborat\u00f3rio de Hist\u00f3ria para Mobilidades Urbanas Sustent\u00e1veis: Pol\u00edticas cicl\u00e1veis de Lisboa research project, a nationally-funded exploratory project fund that researces Lisbon's historical cycling experience as well as those factors that have prevented or promoted its use, arguing that history is important for bringing about a more sustainable and fair urban mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition will be on display in the Atrium of the Francisco Pereira de Moura Library at ISEG from the 12th September to the 20th October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative to rethink Lisbon's contemporary and past daily scenes through a comparative lens is the result of the work of the interdisciplinary team of researchers and their respective institutions and research units participating in the Hi-BicLab, namely the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (FCT NOVA), the Faculty of Architecture of Universidade de Lisboa (FAUL), and the Lisbon School of Economics and Management of Universidade de Lisboa (ISEG), through Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/en\/faculty-2\/patricia-melo\/\">Patricia Melo<\/a>and the Faculty of Science of the Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL).
