February will come to an end with another concert at ISEG. On the 28th, at 21h00<\/strong>, the CGD Auditorium will host Jo\u00e3o Reigado<\/a><\/strong>, who will bring with him a 'Rascunho' (Draft) in the form of his first album of original songs, released in December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reigado, however, will not only be accompanied by his recently released album, but will also share the Auditorium stage with a band and four special guests, most of whom made 'Rascunho' come out of the paper, into the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And suddenly... the drawer was empty. Words found music again and everything began to make sense. After some hesitation, singer-songwriter Jo\u00e3o Reigado achieved one of the biggest goals he had in mind: to publish an album of original songs. 'Rascunho' was the name chosen for a work with 15 songs, born from the symbiosis between words, piano and the artist's voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The voice and piano were joined by Diogo Melo de Carvalho's drums, Vasco Sousa's basses and double basses and Ruben Portinha's guitar, who was also the producer and one of the vocal guests on this record, on the song \"N\u00e3o h\u00e1 bela sem sen\u00e3o\", where he also played guitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another guest was Jo\u00e3o Afonso (in a duet on \"Certo e errado\"), whose talent, career and distinctive voice enriched the work even more. The same can be said of Jos\u00e9 Manuel David, one of Portugal's finest multi-instrumentalists, who recorded harmonica on the song \"Chuva vai\" and horns on the track \"Comboios\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

'Rascunho' takes to the stage at ISEG, CGD Auditorium, in band format, with many of the members who took part in the making of the album, promising a show that is welcoming, impactful and, above all, full of musicality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jo\u00e3o Reigado - Piano and Voice<\/strong><\/h5>

Jo\u00e3o Reigado is a teacher of music education and artistic training in basic education, regularly collaborating in the implementation of music awareness projects in pre-school and primary education and in the field of multi-disability. He has a PhD in Musical Sciences from NOVA University of Lisbon and is a member of CESEM (Center for the Study of Sociology and Musical Aesthetics), publishing regularly in journals and books on musical development and the psychology of music. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was a visiting assistant professor at NOVA University of Lisbon and a visiting assistant professor at the Set\u00fabal School of Education. He has been composing on the piano and guitar since he was very young and, during his higher education, he was a member of various musical groups ('Staccato Ensemble', 'Almost a Big Band', 'Tuna Acad\u00e9mica de Lisboa', 'Nem 8 Nem 80', etc.). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reigado has dedicated himself to composing and arranging music in the contexts of learning and promoting communication in children with multiple disabilities. His compositions, influenced by pop, blues and jazz, reflect a personal inspiration, based on feelings, relationships and a critical observation of society, marked by an ironic tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is now releasing his first solo album - 'Rascunho' - with 15 songs, born from the symbiosis of words, piano and voice.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Diogo Melo de Carvalho - Drums<\/strong><\/h5>

As a drummer and percussionist, Diogo currently plays with Cape Verdean singer Nancy Vieira, the band 'The Lucky Duckies' and the ensemble 'Al'Fado'. His work in music is international, having collaborated with renowned personalities such as Danny Boyle, Kim Gavin, Underworld, Antony Gormley, Hofesh Shechter and Audrey Riley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He took part as an interpreter in the opening and closing ceremonies of the London Olympics and in the conference 'TEDx Goodenough College'<\/em>. In addition to freelance work with Portuguese guitar master Ant\u00f3nio Chainho, Ranjana Ghatak, Viviane, Rog\u00e9rio Charraz, the groups 'Monda', 'Tora Tora Big Band', 'Tumbala' and 'The Guest', and the singers Michal Atkins, Miguel Gizzas, Kika Cardoso, Jules Drade, Polly Money, Sarah Warwick, Bruno Correia, Jo\u00e3o Pedro Reigado, Rui Andrade, among others. This journey also led him to share the stage with artists such as Rui Veloso, Sara Tavares, Paulo de Carvalho, Filipa Pais, Kepa Junkera, Paulo Flores, Ana Bacalhau and Remna Schwarz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diogo has a Master's degree in Music Education and a degree in Music Sciences from NOVA University of Lisbon, as well as a degree in Popular Music Performance from the University of East London, where he received the 'Best General' and 'Best Drummer' awards in the class of 2011. He also attended the music schools Berklee College of Music - Berklee Online (USA - Boston), The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (UK - London), JBJazz and Musicentro (Lisbon).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He taught Music Education at Salesianos de Lisboa and PaRK International Schools. He is currently \"Head of Customer Success\" at the award-winning music production start-up, Musiversal, contributing to a Grammy and two Emmys for his clients.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ruben Portinha - Guitar<\/strong><\/h5>

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Ruben Portinha is an author, producer, musician and performer. He started writing songs in 2004 and began working as a professional musician in 2007. He is a self-taught singer, guitarist, bassist and percussionist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first 10 years of his musical career, he was part of the trios 'luaC\u00fastica' and 'Cherry Jam', and was also a percussionist in singer Carlos Silveira's band. With these projects he performed, among others, at F\u00e1brica do Bra\u00e7o de Prata, casinos in and around Lisbon, FNAC stores and Speakeasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a first EP in 2008, consisting of 10 songs, the first album of originals, 'Realidade', was released in 2017. The second album, 'Tinha de Arriscar', an 'Antena 1' (radio station) record, was released in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023 the album 'Conterr\u00e2neos' was released, a tribute to his father and popular poet Jos\u00e9 Campos Portinha, author of all the poems, set to music by Ruben Portinha, with the participation (among others) of Ana Lains, Am\u00e9lia Muge, Sebasti\u00e3o Antunes, Fernando Pereira and Jos\u00e9 Barros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On stage or in the studio, he has collaborated with other big names in national music, such as Jorge Palma, Fernando Tordo, Jos\u00e9 Cid or Lu\u00eds Represas, and has had the opportunity to perform on stages as emblematic as the Olga Cadaval Cultural Center in Sintra, the Festas do Mar in Cascais, the S\u00e3o Luiz Theatre in Lisbon or the Casa da M\u00fasica in Porto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After several triumphs as an author and\/or performer at the Festival of the Academia Recreio Art\u00edstico (the oldest collective in Lisbon), Ruben Portinha won the Jos\u00e9 Afonso Award for best original song at the Cantar Abril Festival in 2021, organized by the Almada City Council, with the theme 'Obra rara'.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His originals, with lyrics always in Portuguese, navigate between various sounds, especially pop, rock and funk, here and there with hints of soul, blues, jazz, bossa nova and a few other styles. He defines himself as an attentive singer-songwriter who draws inspiration from his musical influences and the world around him.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vasco Sousa - Bass<\/strong><\/h5>

Vasco Sousa was born in Lisbon. A guitar connoisseur, he learned by himself to play electric bass at the age of 14. He was a student at the Hot Club of Portugal in 1983, and at the Academia de Amadores de M\u00fasica in 1988, where he studied double bass with Prof. Fernando Flores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between 1993 and 1995, he was a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra. He obtained a degree in Jazz Double Bass from the University of \u00c9vora (2017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He teaches Music Education (2nd Cycle) at E.B.2+3 Telheiras, and electric\/acoustic bass and double bass, privately and at Crescendo, Diapas\u00e3o, Musicland, Musicentro (Salesianos de Lisboa), Music Club Lisboa and Escola Secund\u00e1ria Dr. Manuel Fernandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vasco Sousa participates in projects in the areas of traditional Portuguese music, classical music, old music, fado, tango, jazz and blues, as well as theater and television.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Her love for music was evident from an early age, although she only became aware of it at the age of 13, when she realized that music was her path. It was at the age of 15 that In\u00eas Trevo wrote her first composition, \"Turn Around\", using the guitar as its rhythmic basis (as in her later compositions).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between Portuguese (mother tongue) and English, in a style that is essentially Pop Rock, her songs deal with experiences, feelings and reflections that are not only theirs, but end up conveying messages that are difficult to leave indifferent all those who listen to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2018, she released a first EP online consisting of five original songs ('Turn Around', 'O Que Eu Sei', \"N\u00e3o Me Perdi', 'Where is My Escape' and 'Keep The Flame'), followed by the singles 'Som Mudo' (2021) and 'Verdade' (2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, she released her first album called 'Solta', with a total of 14 songs and an extra track, making a total of fifteen original songs that represent the path she has traveled over these 15 years of songwriting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\u00eas Trevo has been on stages that she considers important because they were milestones in her musical career, some of which were the Carlos Paredes Auditorium, the Grande Arraial De Benfica, FIARTIL (Estoril Craft Fair), the URCA Auditorium and the Ac\u00e1cio Barreiros Auditorium at the Olga Cadaval Cultural Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She currently has some new songs that she intends to record and is also very focused on learning new instruments and musical possibilities, such as the piano.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Jo\u00e3o Afonso - Vocals<\/strong><\/h5>

Jo\u00e3o Afonso has been one of the main Portuguese Authors\/Interpreters of our time. His albums have been released nationally and internationally and he has toured much of the world representing Portuguese music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his career, he has worked with musicians and performers from the national and international music scene such as Jos\u00e9 M\u00e1rio Branco, Fausto Bordalo Dias, Am\u00e9lia Muge, J\u00falio Pereira, Filipa Pais, Uxia, Lu\u00eds Pastor, the 'Mestisay' group, Pablo Milan\u00e9s, Paco Iba\u00f1ez, Pedro Guerra and Javier Ruibal, Kepa Junkera, Costa Neto, Stewart Sukuma, Juan Carlos Cambas, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Louren\u00e7o Reigado - Alto Saxophone<\/strong><\/h5>

      Louren\u00e7o Reigado is a promising young saxophonist, currently finishing his Secondary Music Course at the Palmela Regional Conservatory - CRP, with teacher Jo\u00e3o Pedro Silva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      He began his musical studies at the age of 7, but since he was a baby he has had contact with the world of music, partly due to the influence of his parents. He has been involved in jazz and has also taken private lessons with saxophonist Tom\u00e1s Marques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      He has performed both solo and as a member of groups as diverse as the 'Orquestra Ligeira do CRP', the 'Ensemble de Saxofones de Palmela', 'Ensemble Novo Tango', 'Dueto Saxofone e Harpa' and 'Da Legi Gang'.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      He participated as 1st alto saxophone in concerts with the singers A Garota N\u00e3o and Miguel Ara\u00fajo. Recently, he took part in the recording of the 'Ensemble de Saxofones da
      Metropolitana: 100 anos de Joly, 50 anos de Abril', and was also one of the musicians invited to take part in '50 anos do 25 de Abril' by 'Teatro O Bando'.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Pedro Vicente - Vocals<\/strong><\/h5>

      Pedro Vicente is a composer, author and musician from Lisbon, who seeks to be in music as in life, in a spontaneous, uncomplicated and passionate way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      He began studying classical music at the Sintra Conservatory of Music, with the piano as his main instrument. Since 2008, he has been a member of various musical groups of different styles and has studied instruments such as the guitar and double bass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In 2016, he recorded his first album of original songs entitled 'Espera', with a digital edition on October 27, 2017 by 'Farol M\u00fasica', and a physical edition on December 21 of the same year, with a live launch at Casino Estoril and special participation by Toz\u00e9 Brito, Paula Delgado and Nuno Santos 'Violino'.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      On June 7, 2019, he released the single 'Tu \u00e9s tudo o que eu preciso', produced by the duo Jo\u00e3o S\u00f3 and Ricardo Ferreira and released at the same time as a striking video clip, which had a major impact on the media and was widely shared on social networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The long-awaited '2\u00ba Andar', the second album of originals, was released on December 15, 2023 and presented live for the first time in February 2024, at the Carlos Paredes Auditorium in Benfica, which sold out a few weeks before the concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Pedro Vicente believes that music is about sharing and, as such, collaborations have marked his career very positively, with special appearances on albums and singles by artists such as Joana Almeida, R\u00faben Portinha, Mariana Moreira, In\u00eas Trevo and Jo\u00e3o Reigado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      His repertoire includes more than 60 songs with original lyrics and music, which he plays and performs himself (solo or with a band) and has taken to different stages in Portugal (Casino Estoril, Teatro S\u00e3o Luiz, Lojas FNAC, Mercado Campo Ourique, Mercado da Romeira, Centro Cultural de Carnide, C. C.
