Within this nightmarish scenario, there are characters of profound humanity, sometimes with a magical and mythical dimension, all wandering through the shattered land, between the most poignant despair and a hope that refuses to die. <em>'Terra Son\u00e2mbula'<\/em> is an admirable novel, undoubtedly one of the best literary works written in Portuguese in recent years.
