{"id":66685,"date":"2026-01-19T16:53:25","date_gmt":"2026-01-19T16:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/?post_type=event&#038;p=66685"},"modified":"2026-02-02T11:16:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T11:16:07","slug":"educar-2040-what-remains-what-changes-what-matters","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/en\/event\/educar-2040-what-remains-what-changes-what-matters\/","title":{"rendered":"Debate | Educar 2040: what stays, what changes, what matters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>February 12th<\/strong>, at <strong>17.30<\/strong>, The event \u201c<strong>Educate 2040: what stays, what changes, what matters<\/strong>\u201c, an initiative <strong>organized by ISEG, in partnership with Externato O Lar da Crian\u00e7a<\/strong>, This year's event is dedicated to reflecting on the future of education in a context of accelerated technological and social transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session will be attended by <strong>President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa<\/strong>, This meeting, whose participation as Head of State gives it special institutional relevance, proposes an in-depth debate on the meaning of teaching and learning at a time when knowledge is unlimited but attention is increasingly scarce, and when artificial intelligence is challenging traditional teaching models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening address will be given by <strong>Jo\u00e3o Duque<\/strong>, President of ISEG, and <strong>Rita \u00c1vila de Melo<\/strong>, Director of Externato O Lar da Crian\u00e7a, followed by a speech by <strong>President of the Republic<\/strong> which underlines the centrality of education as a structuring pillar of democracy and the country's development, reinforcing ISEG's role -
