On 4-5 December 2026<\/strong>, ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management is hosting a Workshop on Statistics and Applications<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held on the occasion of the Wenceslao Gonz\u00e1lez Manteiga's 70th birthday <\/strong>(Universidade de Santiago de Compostela), this international scientific meeting is organised by ISEG Research<\/strong>, in collaboration with Universidade do Minho Mathematics Centre (CMAT)<\/strong>, Universidade do Porto Mathematics Centre (CMUP)<\/strong>, the Mathematics Centre of Universidade de Coimbra (CMUC)<\/strong> , together with the Mathematical Research and Technology Centre of Gal\u00edcia (CITMAga)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will bring together leading researchers in Statistics and related fields, with the aim of presenting and discussing recent methodological advances and their applications in a wide range of scientific areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event pays tribute to Professor Wenceslao Gonz\u00e1lez Manteiga<\/strong>, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to modern non-parametric statistics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
