DS Seminar | From Mosquitos to Marx: State-Society Dynamics in Contemporary Brazilian Land Reform

The guest speaker for the seminar on the 5 th of May, 2017 for trh CEsA/ISEG/ULisboa Develeopment Studies Cycle will be Wendy Wolford, who will speak on the subject of Agrarin Reform, and, in particular, the question of the dispute between the Brazilian Governmnnet and the Movimento Sem Terra (Landless Movement), which is the largest and best-organised rural social movement in Brasil.

Wendy Wolford is a professor of Development Sociology at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences of Cornell University (EUA).

The seminar will start at 18.00, in Ampitheater 1 (Quelhas, 4 th Floor).
