Homily for Manuela Silva | A Challenge for the Future

07 Mar from 09:30 to 17:00
ISEG

The death last October of Professor Manuela Silva was a profound loss for ISEG, for the Academy, and for all those in Portugal who fight for a more just and more solidarity society.

In honour of her memory, ISEG has decided to promote a series of events over the current year, which will evidence her activity as an economist, as a university professor, and as a citizen. The aim of this initiative is also to underline her vision of the economy acting at the service of people and the need for sustained and inclusive socio-economic development – which are one of the pillars of ISEG’s mission, and, in particular, of the education which is taught here.

The first of these events will take place on the 7th of March, and is being organised jointly with the Economics and Society Group – which was founded by Prof. Manuela Silva.

The event will be attended by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, PhD, who will honour us by participating in this homily
.

programme on this link.

We are certain that, with your participation, the homily to the legacy of Prof. Manuela Silva will be an important moment to reaffirm many of the causes for which she has always fought for.

Free entrance, subject to enrolment by the 2nd of March, by sending an email to
