Interdisciplinary thinking

Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches are recognised as being necessary for responding to current societal challenges and for achieving sustainable development.

The Food, Farming and Forestry College (F3) is organising a round-table on the theme of "Interdisciplinary thinking" on the 23 rd of Janeiro from 10.15 to 12.00, in the Salão Nobre of the Rector’s Office of Universidade de Lisboa.

The event will count with the participation of  Uskali Mäki (The Academy of Finland Centre of Excellence in Philosophy of Social Sciences),  Olga Pombo (Philosophy Centre of ULisboa), and  José Lima Santos (F3 College – ULisboa).

The aim is to generate a challenging debate about interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary thinking, and the concepts, methodologies and dynamics of its application in science, and the role of political and decision-making bodies. 

The speeches and debate will be in English, with no translation.
