Would you like to debate the future of the planet with one of the best-known climate specialists?


On Wednesday, 6th October, from 17.00 to 19.00, ISEG will be hosting Johan Rockström, the scientist and Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact, for a lecture about the risk of abusing the planet’s limits and the importance of setting scientific goals to ensure a safe operating space on Earth.

The moderators will be professors Patricia Melo, from ISEG’s Department of Economics, and Olivia Bina, from the Institute of Social Sciences of Universidade de Lisboa.

The lecture will be delivered in English, in a face-to-face and online hybrid format, with prior enrolment being necessary (as places are limited):
