On the 24 th of February, ISEG will receive the Universidade de Lisboa Chanber Choir for the ULisboa Winter Concert, entitled "Musical Sins".
The session starts at 16.30, on the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Auditorium (Quelhas, 2 nd Floor).
Music can be seen as the response to the demand to create clear sonorous expressions of its authors and doers. Some seek beauty, others ugliness, or the illustration of what they see, feel about themselves or feel of the world. And then there are those who still yearn for nothing but sound.
It is certain that some composers surprised the world with their works, without knowing when or how. Then there are others who, after discovery their creative gift, then become silent for ever, caught by premature death, when their fellow countrymen had already placed great hope in them for new and magnificent compositions.
Our choices for this concert include some of the gems and musical extravagances that marked the history of music, which include one of Rossini’s beloved Passeggiata works from the famous "Sins of Old Age".
