A workshop on “Global Value Chains, the Private Sector and Development” will take place on the 7th of February at ISEG
The event will take place from 09.30 to 13.00, in the DELTA Room (Quelhas, 3rd Floor).
The aim of this workshop is to examine the different perspectives concerning value chains and their evaluation in relation to the business world and global development. Accordingly, the following topics will be discussed: corporate social responsibility (CSR), innovation, global value chains, direct foreign investment, social entrepreneurship, microfinance, and others, such as BoP markets (bottom-of-the-pyramid) and the role of companies as interested parties in poverty reduction.
The workshop is organised by CEsA – Centre for African Nad Developnmet Studies, as part of the final work of the Business4SDGs project, which is led by Luís Mah, a professor at ISEG and researcher at CESA.
