from analyses of the pay gap between men and women to studies of asymmetries in economic power and decision-making in the business world. <br><br>The creation of <strong>Gender, Labour and Power Observatory<\/strong> aims to promote research and the regular provision of information on these topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:34px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Created under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/investigacao\/policy-lab\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/investigacao\/policy-lab\/\">Policy Lab<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/investigacao\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/investigacao\/\">ISEG Research<\/a>, This infrastructure seeks to put scientific knowledge at the service of social change in order to promote the full and equal participation of women and men in public and private life, the full realisation of citizenship, the deepening of social justice and the sustainable development of Portuguese society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p><strong>To this end, the Gender, Labour and Power Observatory:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>- It offers an Information Repository, covering academic papers, scientific publications, projects, resources (standards, legal guidelines and benchmarks) and news on the topics covered by the Observatory;<br><br>- It provides regular and up-to-date information on the situation of women and men in paid and unpaid work, pay inequalities (gender pay gap) and asymmetries in economic power and decision-making in the business sphere;<br><br>- By involving various key players in its stakeholder group - such as scientific associations, women's associations, business confederations, trade union confederations, supervisory and regulatory bodies, government and government agencies - it facilitates the translation of evidence into concrete practices on issues related to reducing gender inequalities in the labour and economic spheres, as well as the qualification and evaluation of public policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-2 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p>These activities are supported by a team of leading researchers from the ISEG Research \/ Policy Lab unit, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/sara-falcao-casaca\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/sara-falcao-casaca\">Sara Falc\u00e3o Casaca<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/maria-joao-guedes\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/maria-joao-guedes\">Maria Jo\u00e3o Guedes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/ricardo-alcobia-rodrigues\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/ricardo-alcobia-rodrigues\">Ricardo Rodrigues<\/a> e <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/susana-maria-ramalho-marques\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/faculty\/susana-maria-ramalho-marques\">Susana Ramalho Marques<\/a>. Reflecting the inclusive nature of its objectives and mission, the Observatory will promote the participation of young researchers (doctoral and master's students) in its activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>- -
