{"id":421,"date":"2023-02-16T16:19:52","date_gmt":"2023-02-16T16:19:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/internacional\/?page_id=421"},"modified":"2025-12-02T15:33:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T15:33:08","slug":"application-as-free-mover","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/internacional\/en\/mobility-incoming\/application\/application-as-free-mover\/","title":{"rendered":"Application as Free Mover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Students interested in spending one semester or one academic year at ISEG\/ULisboa, outside the scope of an exchange programme, may apply as free-movers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Deadline<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><em>Fall Semester<\/em>: 1st until 31st May &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Spring Semester<\/em>: 1st until 31st October<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Students from ISEG's partner universities will be accepted with an authorization from their home institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must be officially enrolled in a Degree Programme at their home institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>ID card\/passport (in case of consent);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curriculum Vitae;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transcript of Records;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirmation of enrolment from the home institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificate of B2 level in English or in Portuguese (depending on the language of lecturing);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment of 60\u20ac, non-reimbursed (the payment details will be provided during the final stage of the application process).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The application is <strong>exclusively fulfilled online<\/strong>. The button below will be active during the application period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Numerus Clausus<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor: <strong>5<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master: <strong>5<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important Notes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Free-movers may apply for courses at both Undergraduate and Master levels;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free-mover undergraduate students are allowed to take the minimum of 18 ECTS (or enrolled on three courses) and the maximum of 30 ECTS;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free-mover master students are allowed to take the minimum of 18 ECTS and the maximum of 30 ECTS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The enrolment on the courses will be subject to the availability of places;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To enrol for master courses, students must be enrolled at a master degree or have completed 3 years of a bachelor degree;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free-mover students are not eligible for mobility programmes and are not entitled to complete a university degree at ISEG;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free-Mover students are required to organize all aspects of their study abroad independently (admission, enrolment and non-academic requirements such as visas, accommodation and travel, living and academic expenses).&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection and Ranking Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection and ranking process will be based on the following formula:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N = 0.75M + 0.2 \u00d7 (F\/4 \u00d7 20) + 0.05 \u00d7 (P\/1 \u00d7 20)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a.<\/strong> 75% - the applicant's grade average at the time of application (M)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b.<\/strong> 20% - the applicant's home institution (F), for a total of 4 points, distributed according to the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>F = R + A + B + E<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>R<\/strong> indicates whether the institution is ranked (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shanghairanking.com\/rankings\/arwu\/2024\">ARWU<\/a><\/strong>) within the top 200 (1 or 0)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A<\/strong> indicates whether the institution holds <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/accredited\">AACSB<\/a><\/strong> accreditation (1 or 0)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>B<\/strong> indicates whether the institution holds <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amba-bga.com\/amba\/business-schools\/accreditation\/accredited-schools\">AMBA<\/a><\/strong> accreditation (1 or 0)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AND<\/strong> indicates whether the institution holds <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.efmdglobal.org\/accreditations-assessments\/business-schools\/equis\/equis-accredited-schools\/\">EQUIS<\/a><\/strong> accreditation (1 or 0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>c.<\/strong> 5% - whether or not the institution is a partner (P):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>P = 0<\/strong> if the institution is a partner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>P = 1<\/strong> if the institution is not a partner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Acceptance<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The acceptance will be sent when the application period is closed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The deadline for the payment of the whole fees will end two weeks after the confirmation of the acceptance, sent by e-mail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the payment is not done within this deadline, we are not able to guarantee the enrolment at the courses selected by the student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Letter of Acceptance will be sent after the payment of the whole fees, in accordance to the Learning Agreement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If for external reasons, the course is not offered at the start of the semester, the students may choose another course but the amount already spent will not be reimbursed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount is also not refundable in case the student cancels the application later.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tuition Fees for the Academic Year of 2025\/2026.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor Courses - 350 euros (per course).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master Courses - 500 euros (per course).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For further questions, please contact<\/strong>:&nbsp;
