You must register by the following date: July 15 (from 10 a.m.) to July 22 (until 11.59 p.m.) 2024.

Registration can be done via the web, anywhere in the world. All you have to do is go to the ISEG "FENIX" portal.

You can consult all the information available online, which is essential for successful enrollment. All you have to do is go to the ISEG Undergraduate Secretariat website and consult here.

Consultation of the information provided above is compulsory, and the student is responsible for any errors made in the registration process due to failure to consult the documents provided.

Enter LXXXXX (process number) and the password assigned by IT (you should consult the instructions on how to use the application, which are available online on the ISEG Undergraduate website).

The password for accessing the "FENIX" Portal must be requested (in advance) by contacting Helpdesk DSI (helpdesk@iseg.ulisboa.pt).

Yes. This year, 2024/2025, the registration of curricular units is recorded at the time of registration, when accessing the system.

You can only register within the time limit set for changes. However, registration is subject to the number of places available and to the payment of an additional fee of 60 euros. Registration takes place via the Fenix portal on a first-come, first-served basis.

After this period, you can only register by email to the academic services, subject to the surcharge, until the end of September. After that date and until October 31st at the latest, you will only be able to register with a higher authorization and an additional fee of 120 euros.

Yes, as long as you do so during the period defined in the question in the first question of this FAQ. During this period, you can access the portal as often as you like.

No. The system will not allow you to access the registration application online if you have outstanding debts. However, as soon as you settle the amount you owe (or as long as the payment plan you submit is approved by the Presidency), your access will be unblocked and you will be able to register, but only within the time limit set.

1st year student - a student who has not obtained at least 30 ECTS credits in the curricular units of the 1st year of the recommended course of the Bologna study plan (has not been successful in at least 5 curricular units).

2nd year student - a student who has obtained at least 30 ECTS credits in the curricular units of the 1st year of the recommended course of the Bologna study plan (passed at least 5 curricular units), and has not passed any curricular unit of the 2nd year of the recommended course of the Bologna study plan.

3rd year student - a student who has obtained at least 30 ECTS credits in the curricular units of the 1st year of the recommended course of the Bologna study plan (passed at least 5 curricular units), and passed at least one curricular unit of the 2nd year of the recommended course of the Bologna study plan.

It is available online information on: timetables, written test schedules, recommended courses, academic calendar, compulsory and optional courses and courses taught in English, programs and other necessary information.

The maximum number of curricular units enrolled in per academic year is 72 ECTS credits (example: as each compulsory curricular unit is worth 6 ECTS credits, 72 ECTS credits correspond to 12 curricular units). Curricular units running in consecutive semesters are counted for this purpose.

For example, if you register for Mathematics I in the first semester and do not pass, the registration for Mathematics I in the second semester is counted again towards the maximum number of registrations per academic year.

The minimum and maximum number of ECTS credits in optional curricular units are as follows:

• Economics /Economics - 30 ECTS credits (18 ECTS from Conditional Optional courses and 12 from Free Optional courses) ;
• MAEG - 18 ECTS credits;
• Management- 24 ECTS credits (18 ECTS from Conditional Optional courses and 6 from Free Optional courses);
• Finance - 12 ECTS credits (6 ECTS from Conditional Optional courses and 6 from Free Optional courses).

You can enroll in pure electives, which are offered by the various ISEG departments, and in electives that are compulsory on other courses, provided you are allowed to do so (you should consult the file of electives available for you to choose from and the restrictions on enrolling in elective curricular units).

No. Only students in their third year can register for elective courses.

Yes, but only for the semester in which you are at ISEG (whether compulsory or optional).

If you want to go to ISEG during the semester in which you are on mobility to take the written test(s) of compulsory curricular unit(s), you should send an email to the IMO- International Mobility Office (imo@iseg.ulisboa.pt) to request the same, within the period set for this purpose (period for registering for the written tests of the normal and appeal periods). This exceptional situation only applies to compulsory curricular units.

Please note that for the purposes of the maximum number of registrations per academic year (72 ECTS), the credits of the curricular units for which you are enrolled in mobility are also taken into account, as shown in your Learning Agreement.

Classes are designated by course/curriculum year/class number. Examples:

• ECO01M01: means Economics/1st year/class M01 ("M" in the morning).
• GES02T11: means Management/2nd year/class T11 ("T" for afternoon).
• ECO01E01: means Economics/1st year/class E01 ("E" for English; classes taught in English, there are other classes taught in English without an "E", see the list available online).
• ECO03L01: means that it is a pure elective course/3rd year/class L01 ("L" for free - free elective).

The information is immediate. In 2024/2025, students will register directly in the system for the available classes.

Yes. From September 2 to 5, 2025, the changes take place online via WEB on the "FENIX" portal and are subject to availability. On this date you can cancel, change or add curricular units.

The first phase for submitting student worker status runs until October 31, 2024. You must submit the documents required to apply for student worker status for the 2024/2025 academic year online at FENIX. Consult the required documentation online at Special Statutes.

The 2nd phase for submitting student worker status for the 2nd semester runs until March 31, 2026.

Skill Up the Future: A modular course over the three years of the degree designed to develop soft skills These modules are for Management, Management and Finance degrees.

THE UC Skill Up the Future is modular. How does it work?

This course includes several modules each semester. In the last semester of the degree (in the 2nd semester of the 3rd year), you will obtain the ECTS associated with the UC (depending on the evaluation obtained, as in other UCs). 

No. If you are applying for an external transfer or change of course to another university or an internal change of course at ISEG, you should not register at ISEG.

If you have applied, if you are accepted onto the course/institution where you applied, you will have to cancel your enrolment via FENIX.

Please note: if you have enrolled at ISEG and have been placed at another school as a result of an external change of course or transfer, or a new application to the National Competition (in a different year to the year of entry), and if you do not cancel your enrolment at ISEG, the tuition fee regulations in force at this Institute will apply.

Yes, registration is binding. Therefore, all students who register will automatically be enrolled for the academic year in question, and the current tuition fee regulations will apply.

Only students who finish their course in the special September term will be de-registered for the academic year in question without paying any tuition fees (application of the tuition fees regulations). However, these students must cancel their registration online by October 31st of the respective year.

No, suspended students are prevented from applying or enrolling in that or another course in the following two semesters. If you want to apply for Isolated Units, see information here .
