The Prescription regime does not apply to other ISEG study cycles.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"block-faqs\">\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-635\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-635\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Prescriptions and Regulations<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-635\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>The prescription system to be adopted for the 1st cycle courses at the Instituto Superior de Economia e Gest\u00e3o is the result of Law no. 37\/2003, of August 22, and aims to promote student accountability, understood in the sense that students must show adequate academic achievement, justifying, by their merit, access to the social good they benefit from: their education and training. When you apply for re-entry, you can request accreditation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Regulations<\/strong>: See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseg.ulisboa.pt\/secretaria\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/06\/Regulamento-do-regime-de-prescricoes-ISEG_vp-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-642\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-642\" aria-expanded=\"false\">What is prescription<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-642\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>The statute of limitations is the act by which a student's enrollment is suspended for two consecutive semesters following repeated academic failure. All students who, in the academic year in question, meet the conditions set out in the regulations on time-barring may be time-barred, with the exception of students who have student-worker status.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-643\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-643\" aria-expanded=\"false\">How prescriptions are applied<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-643\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>In accordance with the terms of Law 37\/2003, students who meet the prescription conditions will not be able to enroll in the school year of prescription.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-644\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-644\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Who the requirements apply to<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-644\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>The prescription system applies to undergraduate students.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-645\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-645\" aria-expanded=\"false\">I'm at risk of lapsing. Next year I can register for isolated curricular units.<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-645\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>Yes. However, you must apply for accreditation after re-entry (you should check the deadlines for this).<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-646\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-646\" aria-expanded=\"false\">If it expires, what are the implications and what alternatives do I have?<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-646\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>If your period of limitation expires, you will not be able to enroll in your current course or any other course for two consecutive semesters. After this period, you can apply for re-enrolment without limitation on the number of vacancies, and the counts for the new period of limitation are those set out in the tables of the regulations on limitation in force (point no. 3 - article 4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the year of expiry, the only course you can continue to take is the single course. You can request that these be credited after re-entry.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-647\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-647\" aria-expanded=\"false\">After the period of suspension of enrollment, the student can return. How to proceed<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-647\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>Yes. Students who have been suspended must apply for re-entry by the deadline for applications if they wish to return. Re-entry is always guaranteed and does not depend on the existence of vacancies.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-648\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-648\" aria-expanded=\"false\">In the event of interruption of studies, cancellation of enrollment or cancellation of registration, the previous school years will be counted towards the statute of limitations upon re-entry.<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-648\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>No. Students who have voluntarily interrupted their studies and later resume them, since they are doing so under the same system that covers transfers, course changes and re-entries, the new limitation period will be counted as set out in the tables of the limitation regulations in force (paragraph 3 - article 4).<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-649\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-649\" aria-expanded=\"false\">I'm a student worker. I run the risk of getting a statute of limitations.<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-649\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>The beneficiaries of the Student Worker status are exempt from the statute of limitations, i.e. the school years in which the student had this status are not taken into account when calculating the statute of limitations.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-650\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-650\" aria-expanded=\"false\">If it's time-barred, I can apply for a school transfer. I'm off the statute of limitations.<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-650\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>According to Law no. 37\/2003, of August 22, a student's right to enrol and register for that course is forfeited if he or she fails to meet the applicable criteria and he or she is prevented from reapplying for that or any other course in the following two semesters.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-651\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-651\" aria-expanded=\"false\">During the period of limitation I have to pay tuition fees.<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-651\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>No, as you will not be able to register for the course, no fees will be due.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-652\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-652\" aria-expanded=\"false\">If it expires, the curricular units previously taken at ISEG will be credited when I apply for re-entry.<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-652\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>Yes, they are credited (according to n\u00ba4 - article 8 - Ordinance 401\/2007 of April 5th).<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-653\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-653\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Where can I find information about my prescription status?<\/h5>\n            <div id=\"ac-653\" class=\"c-accordion__content\" style=\"display: none;\" hidden=\"hidden\">\n                \n<p>Students can check their status on the Aquila Portal under \"Prescription Status\" or at the Undergraduate Secretariat.<\/p>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n\n    \n        <div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item is-read\" data-initially-open=\"false\" data-click-to-close=\"true\" data-auto-close=\"true\" data-scroll=\"false\" data-scroll-offset=\"0\">\n            <h5 id=\"at-654\" class=\"c-accordion__title js-accordion-controller\" role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-controls=\"ac-654\" aria-expanded=\"false\">I've already been prescribed once.
