ISEG hosts two research consortia evaluated by the Portuguese  Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) as Very Good.

 

>  RESEARCH PROJECTS

 

In 2019, the research units hosted at ISEG manage a portfolio of 40 research projects, totaling over 5 million euros in competitive funding.

Among our active international projects are the following:
SUSTINAFRICA - Sustainable intensification of food production through resilient farming systems in West & North Africa
eGROUNDWATER - Citizen science and ICT-based enhanced information systems for groundwater assessment, modelling and sustainable participatory management
PLOTINA - Promoting gender balance and inclusion in research, innovation and training
RELOCAL - Resituating the Local in Cohesion and Territorial Development
INTREPID - Interdisciplinary research and collaboration
SOILTAKECARE - Management of soils polluted by hydrocarbons and metals in the SUDOE countries

ISEG is a national leader in scientific production published in its main scientific areas during the 2015/2019 period.

In 2019, authors affiliated to ISEG published over 150 articles in journals indexed in the bibliometric databases Web of Science and Scopus, almost half of these in 1 st Quartile journal titles.
