Financial Markets and Management (1 º Sem 2020/2021)

Dear FMM Students, 

The Grades of the Exam of Jan 27th and the Final Grades of "Epoca Normal" have been published and are available in section "Grades" in Aquila.

Some Comments:

1. Because the Re-Sit Exam is already on February 3rd at 09:00 (Lisbon time) and there is no "Improvement of Grades Exam" soon, I will only hold a session for you to consult your exams (if you want to) after the exam of "Epoca de Recurso". We have time for that in the week of 8-12 February.

2. Any of the students who were not approved in the Jan 27th and have questions or doubts about their exams, can email me and I'll do my best to clarify any doubts.

3. I have uploaded in Aquila some brief guidelines of solutions to the exam of Jan 27th.

4. Congratulations to all those who passed - especially to those who did brilliantly - and better luck next time for those who did not succeed.

These are truly tough times for every one of you. For your professors as well, me included.

But we're strong, and we'll get to that day when we really are able to celebrate being together in this journey.

On a different note, after the exams, on week 8-12 February you have a top-quality personal development week prepared with super-detail. It is REALLY good and useful for your future lives. Each of you will have  personalised 360º assessment and a lot more.

I also haven't forgotten that I owe you some extra sessions. We'll get to that a bit later. Not forgotten.

Dear FMM Students,

Please carefully read the information and instructions for tomorrow's exam.

1. What You Must Bring:

1. 1. ID Card

   2. Face Mask on (plus a spare one, in case you need to change);

   3. Calculator;

   4. Pens.

2. What You Can Bring:

1. 1. One A4 Sheet of Paper with notes on both sides;

   2. Pencil and eraser.

3. At What Time You Must Arrive in the Exam Room:

1. 1. You should arrive outside your classroom only 5 minutes before 3pm. If you arrive earlier on campus, please stay outdoors while you wait (unless it is raining) alone.

4. What To Do When You Arrive in the Exam Room:

1. 1. As you arrive you should immediately enter the exam room and sit in one of the places where you have an exam script.

   2. Wait for me to pass by and give you instructions to start.

5. Which Is Your Exam Room:

Following alphabetical order of first name, students must go to:

• Noble Hall / Salão Nobre (Floor 4, Building Quelhas): from "ALBERTO RASCIO " to "JOÃO DUARTE MARTINHO TEIXEIRA ";

• Aud. 5 (Fllor 2, Building Novo Quelhas): from "JOÃO MARIA RAVASCO MENDES LOPO TUNA " to " PEDRO MIGUEL PAIS GUIMARÃES";

• Aud. 4 (Floor 2, Building Novo Quelhas): from "RAFAELA FILIPE PEREIRA PACHECO MARCELINO " to "ZINA SKORNOVA ".

6. Rules During the Exam:

1. 1. No talk, perfect ethical behavior. If not, you immediately get zero.

   2. I won't answer questions during the exam. If you have a doubt, write it in your exam, explain, make an assumption and continue.

7. What To Do When You Finish:

1. 1. When you finish your exam, you must leave your completed exam in the table of the invigilator.

   2. Leave immediately after, alone.

   3. Go home, be safe.

Dear FMM Students,

The exam of FMM, which was originally scheduled for Jan 13th and was cancelled, is now being re-scheduled.

The NEW DATE for the "ÉPOCA NORMAL"/"FIRST SIT" EXAM is: 27th January at 3pm (Lisbon time).

Information about the exam rooms and logistics will be sent on January 25th.

Dear Students,

due to a covid-19 case identified today in the MiM group, we must cancel the exam of FMM on January 13th. We will still make sure that all students will have access to two exams of this course unit, of course. These are exceptional circumstances in exceptional times, unfortunately.

Tomorrow (wednesday 13th) we will contact you with more information regarding the next steps and any special recommendations that you must follow. In case you had close contact with your colleague who is now infected, make sure to pay attention to any symptons and make sure you self-isolate - being tested would be useful. 

Your colleague is facing mild symptoms of the disease and we're in touch to follow any developments.

Please make sure to pay attention to your email and phone tomorrow the whole day in case we need to send more updated information.
