Mathematics I (2 º Sem 2019/2020)

ECN , FNC , MNG

Método de Avaliação

The final grade, on a 0-20 scale, is awarded on the basis of two partial examinations:

  • A midterm examination, during the week between March 30th and April 3rd, covering the topics lectured up to March 27th;

  • A final examination at the end of the semester, covering the remaining topics.

Both examinations will be graded on a 0-20 scale, rounded off to decimals. If both partial grades equal or exceed 7.0, the final grade is the arithmetic mean of the partial grades, rounded to units. If one of the partial grades is less than 7.0, the final grade is the minimum between 7 and the rounded mean of partial grades.

Students may resit the midterm examination at the time of final examination, if they failed to achieve the 7.0 mark or if they wish to improve the previous mark. Resitting the mid-term evaluation cancels the previous midterm mark.

Students who failed or skipped the normal examination above may take a resit examination covering the whole syllabus, graded in a 0-20 scale, rounded to units.

Students succeed if the final grade equals or exceeds 10.

All examinations are made without any notes or computational devices.
