Jogo de Simulação Link

    The Stocktrak Simulation Game 2014 runs from the 29th September until the 22th December 2014 (12 weeks).

    ALL groups must be registered BEFORE the game starts.

    To register in the Simulation Game students should click on the link bellow and follow instructions. They should very all data and make sure they are enroling in the   ISEG-FMI2014 class simulation game.

    Students should only register in the Simulation Games  AFTER they have formed their group at AQUILA. There is only one registration per group in each of the platforms - in Aquila and in Stocktrak.  

    Groups should let their Professor know their group number (in Aquila) and group name (in Stocktrak).

    ·           Minimum and Maximun trades

       A maximum of 200 trades is allowed over the entire investment period

       A minimum of 30 trades is required over the entire investment period

       In addition, a minimum of 1 trade is required per week, each week of the investment period

    ·         Restrictions on Holdings

    o    At any time you may hold at most 10% of your portfolio value in individual assets.

    o    During the entire investment period, you should not have more than 25% of your portfolio value in stocks or  in any other classes of assets - bonds, spots, funds, etc.

      At the end of the investment period you can only have deposited in the bank account at most 10% of the initial 1 000 000€.

    o    You may only assume shortselling positions up to 50% your portfolio value.

    o    No positions on derivatives are allowed.

     

    Some of the above rules will be controlled by Stocktrak trading platform, but each group is ultimately responsible for making sure their portfolios are according to the above at any point in time.

    Not obeying the above rules imply a grade of 0 (zero) in the game.

    Evaluation System Link

    All groups shall be ranked by inverse order of their Sharpe Ratio at the end of the investment period.

    The group grades at the simulation game are as follows:

    • Highest Sharpe Ratio - 20 points
    • Second best Sharpe Ratio -18 points
    • Third best Sharpe Ratio - 16 points
    • All Sharpe Ratios above the reference portfolio - 12 points
    • All Sharpe Ratios below the reference portfolio - 8 points
