Resit exam rules

-     -   The exam has two parts. The link for each part of the exam will be available in the chat of the MSTeams. The submission of the answers to the exam will take place in MSForms.Therefore, students must confirm that they can do the login in Office 365 Office 365.

-  The exam starts at 3pm. Part I lasts 20 minutes and includes multiple choice questions (The wrong answers imply a discount equal to ¼ of the value indicated in the respective question). This part has a quotation of 6 points.  Part II lasts 1h10 minutes and has a quotation of 14 points. All answers to question in Part II must be handwritten with a pen on white sheets, and the “StudentNumber_FirstLastName” and “Page x/total” should be written on the header of each answer sheet. That means, students should clearly number the pages with the answers to the second part of the exam, indicating the page number, and the total number of pages submitted. Any answer deemed illegible for any reason, will be not considered. In each question students should highlight their final answer.

Thus, the detailed exam schedule is as follows:

1.           From 3 pm to 3h20  pm - Part I

2.           From 3h20 pm to 3h30 pm – submission of part I and interval (5 minutes)

3.           From 3h30 pm to 4h40 pm - Part II

4.           From 4h40 pm to 4h50 pm - Part II – submission of part II

- All students should have with them a pen, a calculator, enough paper, the statistical tables (Normal distribution table and Standard Normal Loss function table), and the formulae (part I and Part II). All this information is available on webpage of the curricular unit: “Tables and Formulae”- file name “Resit exam tables and formulae”;

- In the MsTeams room, students should have their video camera permanently on.

- Mobile phones must be switched off. Students who are going to use the mobile phone's video camera should inform the teacher in the MS Teams chat if they need to turn it off at the time of submission to take pictures.

- It is not allowed to use headphones or earphones.

- If there is a problem, and it is necessary to submit the handwritten answers by email, only responses sent through ISEG's institutional email will be accepted.

- The roll call starts 15 minutes before the exam starts. At that time, students must be in the MsTeams room assigned to the operations management resit exam.

 - To avoid difficulties with internet access, students should take the following precautions before the start of the exam:

Check which is your "default" browser.

For this "default" browser, check whether you have logged on to any account other than your ISEG school account. If you have, then LOG OUT OF THIS ACCOUNT! If you access the exam via an account other than your own dedicated school account, your exam WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Access http://portal.office.com and log on to your ISEG school account. After logging on, maintain the browser open, as this will make the process much quicker and easier.
