Guidelines for Examination Period (Época Normal)

Dear Students,

I hope you're well.

The PEAE Normal Examination (EN) takes place on June 3 at 9 am in the “virtual room” of theory lectures. The exam will consist of 20 multiple choice questions and covers all the topics taught in the theory lectures and practical classes.

The Exam will be made available in the form of a Forms questionnaire distributed through the TEAMS platform and will last for 40 minutes. All virtual rooms will be supervised by a professor and students should raise any doubts or report any occurrences using the chat option. According to the new “Exam Rules” communicated by the Dean of ISEG, all the students enrolled in a given module have access to the EN exam, including the students who have not participated in the ongoing student assessment.

In a nutshell, the guidance is as follows:

• Students who have completed the ongoing student assessment with a positive grade, will have the classification established in the PEAE assessment method: Final Grade = 50% x grade of ongoing assessment + 50% x grade of the Exam.

• Students who, have not participated or completed the continuous assessment with a positive grade, will have the classification obtained in the EN Exam.

Best of luck to everyone.

Patricia

E-learning Materials and Virtual Classes

Dear students,

I hope you are all well.

During this week, teaching staff at ISEG has been planned the way forward in order to minimize the impact of the closure of ISEG and cancellation of classes.

With regards to PEAE, we would like you to be aware of the following:

  • Lectures will be made available to you in the format of videos and the ususla lecture handouts. Currently we are having problems uploading videos on to Aquila, and have been advised to use Microsoft TEAMS. You will be notified when the videos are available to watch.
  • Tutorials are more challenging to arrange on an e-learning mode. We we are testing a webminar style platform to see whether this may work in an effective way. We will update on any new developments, but note that your group should continue working as usual:
    • Presentations of text 3 and 4 should be produced in PowerPoint format, with notes, as before and emailed to the professor.
    • Discussion of text 3 and 4 should be produced as before and emailed to the professor.

Be safe, be well.

Kind regards

Patricia
